About Me
Hello, I'm Meabh (rhymes with wave!). I was born in Belfast and have been living in Hebden Bridge for fifteen years. I've always had an interest in how the brain works and why people behave the way they do. I developed this interest while studying for my degree, majoring in psychology alongside interpersonal and counselling skills and sociology.
My working career began with me volunteering for ChildLine as a counsellor on the helpline for five years. I then worked in a residential children's care home for seven years. Since leaving there I have been working as a Specialist Note-Taker for further and higher education students with sight and hearing impairments, and additonal learning needs in Leeds and Bradford.
When I began the Diploma in Hypnotherapy I knew I had found my thing! All my previous learning experiences had prepared me for the course and I found it refreshing to be learning a set of tools and techniques that could help people release and let go of old limiting beliefs and effectively clear the blockages. I have always been very solution focused, so hypnotherapy for me ticked all the boxes. It has had a profound effect on my life, helping me to break out of those mental barriers that always kept me from succeeding in the past.

Hypnobirthing has become a passion of mine - I was very grateful to have the positive birthing experience that I had, so when I began my hypnotherapy training and had my first hypnobirthing client and baby, I loved it so much, I wanted to do it again and again. Being able to help women have the beautiful birthing experience they deserve brings me a lot of happiness and makes my job feel very worthwhile.
